Description
Position Purpose
The Sector Specific Trainee Programme (SST) aims to provide students and recent graduates with practical workplace experience, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment. This programme is designed to enhance participants' employability by offering hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to industry-specific tasks. The SST programme is conducted over a period of 12 months.
Position Outputs
Task Execution:
• Assist in specific projects within a department or work-stream.
• Perform routine operational tasks under supervision.
• Support administrative functions, including documentation and reporting.
Learning & Development:
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs.
• Shadow experienced professionals to gain practical insights.
• Engage in problem-solving activities to develop analytical skills.
Communication & Collaboration:
• Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and project progress.
Compliance & Safety:
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 / Matric
• Advantageous: TVET N6 in Logistics/Transport
• Youth aged between 18 and 35 years
